when you come to this

come to it naked

come to it alone

come to it burning incensing

       and refuse to pick up the phone

come to it ready to confess

       that you’ve felt this way before

come to it ready to acknowledge

        that this is what I want to feel

come to it with your tears

come to it with your scars

come to it with your bruises

come to it with your smile

because

         that is how I came to these words
